Last month our very own Rupert Pratt. Director of Sales Marketing at EngageCraft, travelled to the US to represent the company alongside 11 other leading UK sports digital businesses on a UK Sports Economy Mission hosted by the Department of International Trade.

Kicking off in Atlanta and concluding in LA, Rupert got to meet with and run workshops with a variety of major rights holders, broadcasters and  fan engagement industry experts who have been making great strides to future-proof fan experiences within their stadiums and arenas.

Just some of the activity included talks and workshops about the future of sports fan engagement by Tim Tubito from the NFL, Darren Eales from Atlanta United FC, Harry Hynecamp from AMB Sports and Entertainment Group, Richard Ayers from Seven League, and many many more.

There were also visits to numerous state-of-the-art stadiums, including the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the most sustainable sports arena in the world having won countless awards for its innovative design, concessions model, and game-changing technology, and the Crypto.com Arena, renowned for being the sports and entertainment centre of the world offering guests the finest entertainment experience imaginable.

Alongside this, Rupert was given an insight into the new Intuit Dome being built in LA. This project aims to create a world class arena, utilising applications and biometric tracking to deliver the most seamless customer journey and incentivise fan’s to stay engaged with the on-field product in the hopes of creating a tribal atmosphere similar to that of European football!

All of us at EngageCraft are extremely grateful for the invitation and are looking to forward to furthering our business in the USA as well as utilise the insights to future-proof our own products and services.
